Whats up:
I train World Religions at a neighborhood faculty in Dallas Texas.

I’ve been a fan of Kerouac [the Beat Writer], though I favor Dharma Bums over the guide he’s most well-known for writing: On The Highway.
And the reference comes up fairly a bit. I find out about Alan Watts and the ‘New College’ out within the Bay Space…
However I can’t discover a direct connection between Suzuki and Kerouac… I do know that Kerouac attended Columbia U. in NYC on a soccer scholarship earlier than infamously dropping out. And that DT taught on the similar univ. all through the 50s, however are you aware if Kerouac attended lectures by DT in some unspecified time in the future there? Or did he simply learn his books on Zen, and so on.? Thanks on your time.
