Tickseed – Poise and Presence

Mike and I visited Oakland Nursery the week earlier than Mom’s Day, and proceeded to fill a big cart with crops for the entrance backyard. Among the many many was a tickseed, bearing one lone bloom. And take a look at it now, profusely blooming and wildly happy with its new house.

Tickseed, of the coreopsis household, is deer resistant, a local plant right here within the Midwest, and a perennial. All pluses for this backyard and gardener.

The oppressive warmth has subsided, and as we speak ushers in a cool breeze and solar in a puffy white cloud sky. Good. Wishing for you a day of magnificence. I’m off to a cheerful hour with P.J.—-
