“Might We Collect” to commemorate Asian American ancestors with ceremony, peace stroll on March 16

Might We Collect, a collective shaped in response to cases of anti-Asian violence in 2020 and 2021, will commemorate the three-year memorial of the 2021 Atlanta space spa shootings with a pilgrimage and peace stroll in Antioch, California on March 16.

The memorial occasion goals to “get better and have a good time Asian American Buddhist historical past in Antioch, in California, and throughout the USA” and “strengthen the ties of kinship that join every of us throughout time, place, race, faith, and gender.” The ceremony follows different Might We Collect memorial occasions, together with a 49-day ceremony in Might 2021.

A 90-minute ceremony will start at 1 p.m. the El Campanil Theater in Antioch, California, adopted by a half-mile peace stroll within the surrounding space and neighborhood reception on the Antioch Senior Heart.
