A giant reminder + weekending.

I lastly took a Energy Zone class on my Peloton and I beloved it.  Andrew and some of you’ve got informed me to do that ceaselessly, and I lastly bought up the braveness to attempt it out.  My respiration was extra managed throughout this class in comparison with the lessons I often take, however my legs have been toast by the top.  They felt like full jello, and I’ve by no means had my quads fatigue as a lot as they did on Saturday.  I beloved the longer intervals (5/6 minutes) vs. the shorter, extra Tabata-type intervals, and I’ll be again for extra of those.  I hit a brand new pr too!  Now, I have to take an FTP take a look at (20 minutes ALL OUT) to find out my threshold and actual energy zones.

I went by way of my giant water bottle within the first half of the category!

Brooke awoke and wished to trip her electrical bike, so I simply ran a couple of simple miles subsequent to her.  I beloved chatting earlier than she left.

This bike/run combo made me query how on the planet folks run a marathon after driving 112 miles on the bike.

We dropped Brooke off with a few of her household to go to her household reunion, after which we hit up TJ’s.  Skye sobbed after we dropped Brooke off however fortunately some mangoes brightened her day.

Subsequent cease= A power for runners class on the Peloton app.  Beck helped me out by requiring loads of pause breaks alongside the way in which.

The home was loads quieter than standard this final weekend.

I mashed up 18 cups of strawberry to make freezer jam.  I take advantage of the decrease sugar recipe on the pectin jar for our jam; it at all times tastes superb.  We’re set with jam for some time.

PS a pastry cutter makes it simple to mash strawberries completely should you don’t have a potato masher.

The remainder of the weekend was spent celebrating Andrew and our dads!

I made Andrew do-it-yourself in-n-out animal-style fries, they usually tasted even higher than within the restaurant, IMO.

On Sunday we had my mother’s lasagna and it’ll at all times be my favourite meals.

A reminder for me and anybody else who wants to recollect this—> Nothing is sweet for us.  Life isn’t a contest over who will be the busiest.  Taking time to do nothing (or be bored–> I remind my children of this typically and reply, “GOOD” at any time when they inform me they’re bored:) is essential in so some ways.

I made certain to do ‘nothing’ at any time when I may this weekend, it was pretty.
